Supreme Administrative Court rules pharmacist convicted of nearly 1 million złoty fraud can reapply for pharmacy licence

Poland's Supreme Administrative Court has ruled that a pharmacist convicted of forging prescriptions, defrauding the state of nearly 1 million złoty and involvement in an inverted pharmaceutical distribution chain may reapply for a pharmacy licence. The ruling contradicts earlier case law on guarantees of proper pharmacy management and could have serious implications for drug-supply safety, analysts warn.
