BHP: over 113 workers sexually harassed colleagues in a single year
Mining giant BHP disclosed in its annual report that at least 113 workers were fired or resigned in the last financial year after being found to have sexually harassed colleagues, with cases including indecent touching, stalking and grooming. A further 104 allegations were not investigated due to insufficient evidence or the wishes of the people affected. The disclosures come amid heightened scrutiny of sexual harassment at remote mining sites across Australia.
