ECB asks public who should appear on euro banknotes — Marie Curie among candidates

The European Central Bank is consulting the public on new designs for euro banknotes. Marie Curie is among the candidates being considered for inclusion on the bills. Members of the public can submit their preferences for the figures or motifs to appear on the common European currency.
