Russian volleyball player Savin: we skip Poland's World Championship over safety fears

Former Russian volleyball international Sergei Savin said Russia's decision to skip next year's Volleyball World Championship in Poland is a sound move, claiming Russian players might not be safe there. Russia's return to international competitions continues to draw protests from many countries. Savin also raised the spectre of provocations against Russian athletes on Polish soil.
