Judge secondments to Justice Ministry up 10% — ministry says rules require it
The number of judges seconded to work at the Ministry of Justice has risen by nearly 10% over the past year. The number of those who have been on secondment for over 20 years — and thus not sitting in courtrooms — is also growing. The ministry says the increase is required by existing regulations, offering no further explanation.
