Trump cuts US-South Korea military drills after Seoul refused to back Iran war

Donald Trump announced a substantial reduction in joint military training exercises with South Korea, citing Seoul's refusal to support the US war against Iran despite years of American military protection. Trump noted that during his first term he secured nearly $3 billion a year from South Korea for its defence, while demanding $10 billion. He also cited the cost of exercises and his close relationship with North Korean leader Kim Jong Un as additional motivations.
