Massive planets could form around supermassive black holes
Scientists have found that massive exoplanets could form in the accretion disks surrounding supermassive black holes in active galactic nuclei (AGN). Rather than being purely destructive, black holes create complex environments where planet formation is possible. The finding challenges assumptions about where planetary systems can exist in the universe.
