Mexican engineers tricked into factory work at Kia plant win $11.5M settlement

A federal judge approved an $11.5 million class-action settlement for more than 600 Mexican TN visa workers at a Kia plant in Georgia. The workers were recruited for professional engineering roles but were instead placed on factory assembly lines. Defendants including Kia Georgia, Hyundai Mobis, staffing firm Allswell and recruiter SPJ Connect all deny wrongdoing.
