Ukraine pursues EU accession reforms while fighting a war
A Ukrainian expert argues that conducting complex EU-integration reforms while simultaneously resisting Russian aggression is an enormous challenge for both the Ukrainian state apparatus and society. She stresses, however, that it is the only path to ensuring the country's survival during wartime and building a vision for its future. Ukraine holds EU candidate status and continues implementing the required reforms despite ongoing hostilities.
