US Supreme Court rejects Verizon's bid for $47M FCC fine refund
The US Supreme Court denied without explanation Verizon's petition seeking a $47 million refund of an FCC fine. The fine was part of a combined $196 million penalty levied in 2024 against Verizon, AT&T and T-Mobile for selling users' real-time location data without consent. AT&T and T-Mobile continue to challenge their own fines, arguing the data sales did not violate US telecom law.
