China resumes space launches days after Long March 7A explosion

China returned to spaceflight less than a week after a Long March 7A rocket exploded mid-flight on August 10, destroying the Zhongxing-4B satellite. A Long March 12 rocket launched on August 16 from the Wenchang commercial spaceport and placed 24 internet satellites into low Earth orbit. The back-to-back resumption of launches marks a rapid recovery for China's state space programme.
