Paramount demands $1.88bn bond from states and WGA blocking Warner Bros. merger

David Ellison's Paramount Skydance filed a motion asking Judge Araceli Martinez-Olguin to require the plaintiffs — 12 US states and the Writers Guild of America — to post a $1.88 billion bond covering the company's financial losses caused by the delay to its merger with Warner Bros. Discovery. The motion was filed on Monday while the antitrust lawsuit keeps the deal on hold pending trial.
