Russia upholds Yabloko election ban; deputy chair jailed over 11 years for ceasefire call
Russia's Supreme Court upheld the removal of the liberal Yabloko party from September's election ballot. Hours earlier, a court in Pskov sentenced the party's deputy chair, Lev Shlosberg, to more than 11 years in a penal colony for calling for a ceasefire in Russia's war against Ukraine. Yabloko is the only openly anti-war party in Russia.
