Lublin-region fruit cold store "Jaak" nears bankruptcy as board starts hunger strike

The 30-year-old fruit cold storage company "Jaak" from the Lublin region is on the verge of bankruptcy, hit by Ukrainian raspberry imports and a sharp price collapse in 2022–2023. The company's board has launched a hunger strike, calling the firm a "war victim". The Lublin region has long been one of Poland's main raspberry-producing areas.
