Severe storms lash southern Poland — Chorzów streets blanketed in hail

Powerful storms swept across southern Poland, bringing heavy rain, strong winds and hail. In Chorzów, streets were quickly covered in a thick layer of hail, resembling a winter scene in the middle of summer. Firefighters in Wrocław and the surrounding area responded to numerous calls involving fallen and broken trees, while the Opole region also reported difficult conditions.
