Russia earned $125 bn from exports thanks to Middle East war – but tide may be turning
Soaring oil and commodity prices driven by the Middle East war have significantly boosted Russia's export revenues. In the second quarter they reached $125.7 billion – $28 billion more than the same period a year earlier, according to Russia's Central Bank estimates. The situation may now be reversing, which could put pressure on funding for Russia's war effort.
