Romanowski hiding in Transnistria? Moldovan analysts offer two theories

Former Polish Deputy Justice Minister Marcin Romanowski is reportedly sheltering in Transnistria, a pro-Russian unrecognised republic within Moldova. Moldovan analyst Andrei Curăraru told Wirtualna Polska that the region has previously served as a refuge mainly for local criminals, noting this appears to be the first case involving a senior EU official. He outlined two hypotheses regarding Romanowski's presence and motives there.
