Russian shadow-fleet tanker spill threatens humpback whales and seabirds off Oman

A sanctioned Russian shadow-fleet tanker has been stranded on a reef in a protected marine area off the coast of Oman for two months, continuously leaking oil into the sea. The spill has already reached Omani beaches and threatens humpback whales and seabirds. The vessel is subject to Western sanctions.
