DeFi protocol Compound bets $52M on institutional clients

Compound, the protocol that pioneered decentralised finance lending, is shifting its focus to institutional clients after retail traders lost interest. A new leadership team is deploying $52 million to attract institutional money, as total value locked in the protocol has tumbled sharply from its peak five years ago.
