Bundeswehr reaches 13-year high of 186,700 troops

Germany's Defense Ministry reported that Bundeswehr troop numbers reached approximately 186,700 at the end of July, up roughly 3,700 from a year earlier — a 2% increase. This is the highest level in 13 years and represents one of the rare successes in Germany's efforts to rebuild its military.
