Album release days linked to 15% rise in fatal car crashes, Harvard study finds

A Harvard Medical School study found that traffic fatalities rise by 15% on album release dates compared with similar days around the same period. Researchers link the phenomenon to distracted driving, as drivers search for new music on their phones. Lead author Dr Vishal Patel noted that studying distracted driving is difficult because drivers rarely disclose what they were doing in the seconds before a crash.
