Synchrony partners with OpenAI to integrate credit card payments into ChatGPT

Synchrony, the credit card issuer behind Amazon and Walmart cards, has partnered with OpenAI to bring payment functionality into ChatGPT. The company's chief strategy officer Maran Nalluswami told CNBC the full integration will take six to twelve months. The deal would let ChatGPT users make purchases directly through the chatbot.
