Polish politicians pay tribute to actor Jan Frycz, dead at 72

Polish actor Jan Frycz has died at the age of 72. Culture minister Marta Cienkowska wrote that "this is how you recognise a great actor — when his characters take on a life of their own and stay with us for years." Deputy minister Bożena Żelazowska called on people to let "his art speak on." Politicians across the board described Frycz as a towering figure of Polish theatre and cinema.
