Edinburgh Fringe venue admits cancelling Jewish comedian's show was discrimination
The Banshee Labyrinth venue in Edinburgh has admitted that cancelling Philip Simon's stand-up comedy show at last year's Fringe festival amounted to discrimination. The venue made the decision to cancel after reviewing Simon's social media profiles. Simon, a Jewish comedian, had been booked to perform his show there during the festival.
