SSD prices to stay high for years — Phison CEO warns NAND supply won't catch demand for four years

Phison CEO Pua Khein-Seng has warned that NAND flash prices will keep rising because new production capacity will take at least four years to catch up with demand — potentially until 2030 or beyond. The primary demand driver is AI infrastructure expansion, expected to accelerate from late this year into early 2027. Phison is stockpiling inventory to ensure stable supply over the next two years, but the long-term supply crunch remains unresolved.
