Hackers exploit macOS Screen Sharing flaw to secretly mine Monero

The Dutch cybersecurity agency has warned that attackers exploited an authentication flaw in macOS Screen Sharing to gain root access to victims' machines and install Monero cryptocurrency mining software. The attack allowed hackers to secretly use victims' computing resources to mine Monero. Public proof-of-concept code for the exploit is now circulating online, raising the risk of further attacks.
