MPA and ByteDance agree on IP protection framework for AI deepfakes

The Motion Picture Association and ByteDance have signed a memorandum of understanding establishing a framework to protect film and TV industry intellectual property in AI-generated video and images. The deal covers ByteDance's AI tools including Seedance and Seedream. It follows a cease and desist letter the MPA sent to ByteDance in February over IP violations.
