Ebola outbreak in DR Congo becomes deadliest ever as deaths surge

The Ebola outbreak in the Democratic Republic of Congo has become the deadliest in the country's history, with deaths doubling in just three weeks. The United Nations reports that someone dies of Ebola every 30 minutes, and the disease is killing almost one in two recorded cases. The fatality rate currently stands at close to 50 percent.
