Medjugorje is a small town in the mountains of Bosnia and Herzegovina, known as one of the most important Catholic pilgrimage sites in the world — dubbed the "world's confessional." It draws millions of believers each year. The article was prompted by a fatal accident in Hungary on the night of 15–16 August involving Polish pilgrims returning from Medjugorje.
