Vatican sending top diplomat to Moscow ahead of possible peace mission

Vatican Secretary of State Archbishop Paul Richard Gallagher is reportedly set to visit Moscow from August 25 to 28. According to the Russian newspaper Nezavisimaya Gazeta, the visit aims to gauge the atmosphere ahead of a possible trip by the Pope's special envoy for Ukraine, Cardinal Matteo Zuppi. The mission was ordered by the Pope.
