Polish man buys Canary Islands flat – finds squatter family already inside

A Polish man who bought an apartment in the Canary Islands returned to find it occupied by a family with a child squatting illegally. Spain introduced tougher anti-squatter laws over a year ago targeting so-called "okupas", and the problem has eased but not disappeared. Incidents continue to occur particularly in popular tourist destinations.
