Poland wins 8 medals at European Athletics Championships — no gold, says federation chief

Poland claimed eight medals at the European Athletics Championships in Birmingham — six silver and two bronze. That is two more than at the previous championships in Rome. Polish Athletics Federation president Sebastian Chmara told PAP the tally was a pleasant surprise, but admitted the team fell short of winning gold.
