"Eliminate him" — intercepted calls reveal terror and torture inside the Russian army

Intercepted radio communications obtained by Ukrainian military intelligence reveal a system of torture and intimidation used by Russian officers against their own troops. When soldiers complain of exhaustion, commanders reportedly order their elimination. A Ukrainian soldier identified as Mario described instances of Russian commanders shouting "then eliminate him" in response to complaints.
