Man shot his ex-partner in the head in Swarzędz, claims he did it out of love

A 51-year-old man named Remigiusz Z. shot his former partner in the head with a black-powder firearm in Swarzędz, near Poznań, on Saturday before fleeing the scene. He was arrested by police on Sunday and charged with attempted murder, which carries a life sentence. During questioning, the suspect told prosecutors he shot the woman out of love.
