Vatican's top diplomat set to visit Moscow in August, sources say

Archbishop Paul Richard Gallagher, the Vatican's top diplomat, is set to visit Moscow from 25 to 28 August, according to Italy's ANSA agency citing Russia's Nezavisimaya Gazeta. The trip is intended to "gauge the atmosphere" ahead of a September visit by the Vatican's Ukraine envoy. It is also expected to precede the appointment of a new Catholic archbishop in Russia.
