UAE, Iraq, Qatar and Kuwait secretly ship over 4 million barrels a day through Hormuz

The UAE, Iraq, Qatar and Kuwait are exporting more than 4 million barrels of oil per day using tankers with their AIS transponders switched off, Bloomberg reported, citing well-informed sources. After passing through the Strait of Hormuz, the cargo is transferred to other tankers in the Gulf of Oman, making shipments harder to track. The practice appears designed to conceal the actual volume and destinations of oil exports.
