American tourist struck by lightning on Mount Etna dies at 30

A 30-year-old American tourist was struck by lightning while climbing Mount Etna in Italy and later died in hospital after initially being rescued by firefighters. A similar incident occurred at the same time in the Trentino-Alto Adige region.
