Violent hailstorms pound Colorado — snowploughs deployed in midsummer

Severe thunderstorms with heavy rain and large hail swept through Colorado. Firefighters rescued residents trapped in vehicles flooded by rising waters. The hailstones were so large and dense that snowploughs had to be deployed to clear roads despite it being the middle of summer.
