Raising PIT threshold to 140,000 zł would cost public finances over 11 bln zł a year
Raising Poland's second personal income tax threshold from 120,000 to 140,000 zł would cost public finances more than 11 billion zł per year, according to an mBank analysis. The boost to the economy would be minimal — GDP in 2027 would be only around 0.1 percentage points higher. Analysts therefore assess the growth impact as marginal relative to the significant budgetary cost.
