Yandex Maps hid a Russian missile battery near Finland under a forest image
Finnish broadcaster Yle revealed that Russian mapping service Yandex overlaid a forest image onto a missile battery located near the Finnish border in an apparent attempt to conceal the military hardware. Expert Marko Eklund called the move "quite absurd", noting that Western and Ukrainian intelligence use their own satellite imagery rather than Yandex. The map manipulation therefore provides no real tactical advantage.
