Vatican approves public worship at Medjugorje but stops short of endorsing visions
In 2024 the Catholic Church approved public worship at Medjugorje in Bosnia and Herzegovina, where faithful have long reported Marian apparitions. The decision allows official pilgrimages and the promotion of messages from the site. However, the Vatican clarified that the ruling does not constitute recognition of the authenticity of the visions.
