PiS demands extended fuel VAT cut, claims government overcharged Poles by 4 bn PLN

PiS deputy leader Przemysław Czarnek called on the government to extend the reduced VAT rate on fuel and restore the excise duty cut. He claimed that Polish drivers overpaid a total of 4 billion PLN for fuel in July and the first half of August compared to when the reductions were in place. Czarnek accused the government of misleading citizens at the height of the summer holiday season.
