European wildfires: elderly couple killed in Greece, Belgium battles record blaze near German border

An elderly couple died in a wildfire near Peristeria beach on the Greek island of Salamis, with over 500 people ordered to evacuate. Belgium is fighting what is described as its largest modern-day wildfire, burning in an inaccessible area close to the German border and forcing evacuations. Wildfires also raged in France over the weekend.
