Indonesia quake kills 53, thousands await aid as Independence Day overshadowed

At least 53 people have been killed in an earthquake in Indonesia, with thousands more still waiting for aid. The Indonesian Air Force airlifted 13 tonnes of emergency supplies using two Hercules transport planes and a Boeing aircraft. The disaster has overshadowed the country's Independence Day celebrations.
