Polish data watchdog urges businesses to assess AI tools for data risks before purchase

Poland's data protection authority (UODO) is advising small and medium-sized businesses to carry out a data protection risk assessment before purchasing or deploying an AI tool from an external provider. The authority stresses that AI use must comply with data protection regulations. The assessment should cover the scope of data processed and the terms of the contract with the supplier.
