Poland cuts fuel VAT from 23% to 8% from 17 August, caps prices at petrol stations

From Monday 17 August, part of Poland's "Lower Fuel Prices" package takes effect: VAT on petrol and diesel drops from 23% to 8%, and maximum prices are reinstated at petrol stations. The government estimates the measure will cost close to 500 million zloty.
