Iga Świątek beat Colombia's Emiliana Arango 6-3, 6-0 in the first round of the Cincinnati WTA tournament, beginning her title defence in dominant fashion. The WTA noted that Świątek needs 12 more sets won without dropping a game to break the all-time record for career "bagels" and overtake the current legendary leader of that statistic.
