Historian: Braun's radicalism has family roots and was enabled by PiS's shift
Prof. Andrzej Friszke argues that Grzegorz Braun's political radicalism has roots in family influences, though he stresses Braun is not a continuation of his relative Jerzy's thought. The historian also contends that only after Lech Kaczyński's death did his brother Jarosław unleash "the genie of populist radicalisation" within PiS — opening the door to ethno-nationalist anti-Ukrainianism. Friszke believes this political climate created the space for Braun's brand of politics.
