Power line or pipe on your land? Polish landowners can now claim hundreds of thousands of zlotys
Energy, water and telecoms companies have for years used private land for free or at below-market rates to run their infrastructure. Following landmark rulings by Poland's Constitutional Tribunal and Supreme Court, and updated property valuation rules, landowners now have a much stronger legal footing to demand compensation. Claims can reach tens or even hundreds of thousands of zlotys.
