Trump cuts joint drills with South Korea despite warnings about North Korea's battlefield gains

Donald Trump announced he is scaling back joint US-South Korea military drills under the Ulchi Freedom Shield exercise, citing his "very good relationship with Kim Jong-un." The decision comes despite warnings from military officials in both countries that North Korea's regime is gaining new battlefield tactics through its involvement in the war in Ukraine. The drills began Monday and run until 27 August.
